The littlest horse thieves
In the mines of Yorkshire, England, a company run by the profit-conscious Lord Harrogate (Alastair Sim) uses ponies to carry coal out of the pits. However, when Richard Sandman (Peter Barkworth) informs Harrogate about steam-powered mechanisms that can replace the animals, the ponies are bound for the slaughterhouse. When two compassionate stable boys decide to rescue the ponies by stealing them, Sandman's thoughtful daughter, Alice (Chloe Franks), joins in on the daring plan
